Within the liber primus there are illustrations and images within the margins of each page. These illustrations and images are referred to as marginalia, and it is unknown whether they hint towards the plaintext, methods of encryption, or if they are only there to add detail to the pages. The marginalia are typically used to depict the changing of sections within the liber primus.
